Two Tyrions
As a fan of both the books and the HBO series, I was curious how the television series would portray the facial wound sustained by the character Tyrion Lannister at the end of season 2. In the books Tyrions loses most of his nose to a traitorous axe blow during battle, but on television the character ends up with little more than a dueling scar that actually adds more character to the actor’s handsome face. This portrait is meant to detail the differences between the two (beyond the scar, the character of Tyrion in the books is also hunchbacked, heavy browed, and with white blonde hair), and with the near-magical assistance of Photoshop smart objects, it was easy for me to create two versions of the portrait, with each character getting his chance on either side of the glass. Below is the high-res still from the TV show used for the basis of our hero, along with some other found elements used for the lion-accented, gilded mirror.
