Backstage Theater Productions logo

This project was a labor of love, and easily the quickest logo I ever designed. Backstage is a children’s theater troupe in the Williamsburg, VA area, who has for over a decade brought kids together from various backgrounds and social classes, and makes them into not just a fine acting company (which they are), but ends up turning them into a family. When asked to design a logo for them, I jumped at the chance, because the founder of the troupe did me the great honor of asking me to participate in several of their plays years back, and so I witnessed first hand how these amazing ladies work their magic on a bunch of rowdy kids … and at least one rowdy adult!

The blue butterfly was a favorite motif of the founder, and the supporting hands inspired by her as well.
