| What can I say? I just seem to be in a nebula fixation
lately. I've become facinated in trying to render the delicate and colorful
nature of nebulae in whatever programs I can, be they 2D or 3D. Unlike
the Nebula & Planet image which was
created in Bryce 3D, this particular image was created entirely in Photoshop
5.0 Through the use of multiple layers and an insane combination of filters and layer manipulations, I was able to create the above scene. Notice the dark areas in the middle of the image, you may notice objects like them in photographs of actual nebulae. They are called Bok Globules and they mark where dust and gas is condensing to form new stars. I'm still experimenting with the techniques used to create realistic looking nebulae. Check back occationally and I'll post images as I make progress. |
